The captured image of the water crystal reveals the essence of 321 water samples, gathered from every corner of the globe and unified in Auroville, India. During a potent ceremony in Auroville, this water was imbued with special energy by 5,000 meditators. This crystal becomes a confluence where science, art, technology, spirituality, and creativity merge, capturing the combined force of these realms in a singular snapshot.
In 2018, I embarked on a grand journey with no plan for a return. I traversed countries whose languages and scripts were often alien to me. From Berlin, my path led through Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, UAE, to India, Indonesia, Japan, and England – covering an astonishing 42,000 km in just five months. “Water has no ability to discriminate” emerged from this journey as a global artwork. It’s a mosaic of connections, conversations, and cultures from all over.
As Bruce Lee aptly remarked, “Be water, my friend.”

In mid-February, I took part in a grand water ceremony in southern India, marking the 50th anniversary of Auroville—an international haven where individuals from every corner of the globe come together, seeking peace and exploring ways to shape an advanced, harmonious society. To commemorate this milestone, a unique ceremony was held. 321 diverse water samples, gathered globally, were poured into a majestic golden bowl, symbolizing unity, equality, and clarity. After all, water knows no discrimination.

During my extensive journey, conversations often inspired me. In Tokyo, I read “The Secret – the law of attraction” based on recommendations. This book delves into the effects of energy and vibrations on our lives, highlighting Dr. Masaru Emoto’s research on water crystals. Emoto believes water holds energies and has devised a method to visually represent these. By freezing water influenced by various stimuli, then photographing the melting crystals, he identifies a state called “EZ”, likened to a gel-like phase of water. While Emoto’s theories are globally cited, they remain controversial and often labeled pseudoscience. I reached out to Hiromasa Emoto, Masaru’s son, discussing a unique water ceremony in Auroville and offering a sample for his study. I later sent the sample from Bremerhaven to Tokyo.
